I was reading a bit of this thread here: http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...ith-TS-Mux, and JohnnyCam said something in relation to post-processing a ts file that piqued my interest:
Quote:(I was thinking of running it through a TS fixer program after the audio was done as I hardly watch anything in progress or live)
I was thinking of post-processing my recordings through some sort of TS Fixer, as I sometimes get timeline corruption due to some minor signal glitch. So may I ask what program you were thinking of JohnnyCam, or what program anyone else might recommend?

Thanks.

Hey, I wasn't quite sure - but I think Martin had some ideas, and probably had more experience with these tools.

TS-Doctor is apparently quite good, and has been developed with the PCH community - it's now payware, but from what I have readm it's not a great amount.
You could try video redo, as it will do a quick stream fix - and can be implemented from the commandline.

Guess if you have h264 recordings, then you'd need their new TV suite 4 version.

If your problems are minor post-processing seems like overkill. You'd need to explain the problem and why you think it's related to the timeline.

I get the occaisional recording where the timeline will at some point go nuts, like 15+ hours for a 1 hour recording, or the timeline will just reset to 00:00:00 at both ends. In the former case skipping forward is very difficult, while skipping back is impossible; in the latter case skipping forward is impossible, and any attempt to skip backwards starts the file over from the beginning.

In both cases exiting and restarting playback will reset the timeline, but only until the same point is reached when the timeline goes nuts again.

I've been thinking of trying to cut out a bit of an offending recording to send to sub so he could possibly make his TS Reader more robust, but I also thought maybe a ts fixing program in postprocessing.bat would take care of things nicely.

edit: by the way, I just want to make clear to anyone reading this that I am running NPVR. I only posted this here in the GB-PVR forum because I was referring to something JonnyCam posted here.
