it would be nice if gbpvr had a splash screen on loading, telling you what is currently being loaded etc.

How would that work for PVR350 owners, it just goes right to the menu screen. No splash screen, no thanks, one more thing to just slow GB-PVR down during it's loading process. I turn off the splas screen on every program I can, it's annoying and a waste of time.

splash screens hardly use up any resources, they can be very helpful. on the 350 you can tell if its loading via the black screen (normally it shows colour bars). it would take oh i dont know 0.5second longer to load.

Come on, of all the cool/useful/important things we could ask for a splash screen is what you come up with!!

a splash screen would take sub 2 minutes to do, it would be help.
I have the Go button on my hauppauge remote set to start GBPVR. As my machine takes a few seconds to load GBPVR, i'ts very easy to press the Go button again as you think the remote hasn't registered the press. So you end up with two or three instances of GBPVR. I would add my support for either a splash screen, or a way of adding an audio beep to some remote buttons so you know that your command has been received.
Anyone know how difficult it would be to code a system beep into either the remote.ini file or a custom batch or script file that could be called to start GBPVR? The splash screen could be set to be on or off in Config, to keep everyone happy. Simon
