Dear all,

I just got an email from digiguide letting me know of bargain offer until the end of this month to subscribe for 1 or 2 years.

http://digiguide.tv/products/

I have been a user of digiguide for about 3 years now. They have very good listings and cover some channels that RT do not. If you like an XML EPG as opposed to an OTA EPG it makes for a very good source, and at this price it is a bargain Big Grin (and no I am not affiliated with them in any way, I just really like what they do Wink )

Used in conjunction with Alan Birtles most excellent XMLTVGUI and one extra file to enable importing into XMLTVGUI it is a very good choice for a UK based XML EPG source.

cheers

+1 and thanks again to Alan Birtles for his great utility. Great solution for EPG data in the UK as for example you can also get series/episode numbers.

That's an interesting point, series/ep numbers - does it make recording the same ep over and over again less likely? Or is that just the way nPVR works and regardless of what EPG I use I'll get that happen?

I don't think the current NPVR supports duplicate elimination yet - and when it does only uses a unique "show id" are something generated by the US EPG provider schedules direct.

If you can post an example of the format of these numbers, I'll try to incorporate support for it when I add the US schedules direct support.

Code:
Season 5, Episode 17 of 20 = 4.16/20.
Episode 10 of 13 = .9/13.
Season 1, Episode 3 of 12 = 0.2/12.
Season 5, Episode 25 of 25 = 4.24/25.

It seems to be a zero-based season and episode number, of a 1-based total. Is that common in these formats? Or have I misunderstood it?

I use the alternative shorter format (as it takes less space) for Season/Episode which is a settings option in XMLTVGUI e.g.

Yeah, thats the way I interpret it.

I wonder what this means? <episode-num system="xmltv_ns">.9/13.</episode-num> what season? season 1 or unknown?

Is someone able to zip and attach a complete xmltv file with these identifiers, so I have a test file?
