is there a way to have digital and analog channels on the same virtual channel without them appearing twice in the guide? for example, I have 2 analog tuners and 2 digital tuners--they can all tune to channel 3. is it possible for channel 3 to follow the device priority, so when i record or watch channel 3, it reflects whatever is on the first device unless that device is being used, then it moves to the next one down the list. Right now, my analog channel 3 and my digital channel 3 show up twice on the guide.

Under pvrx2, i could manually add a channel into the configuration file if a channel scan didn't pick up a particular channel. Is there a way to do that with nPVR?

hold control key, select both channels, right-click, select merge.

Thank you--very helpful... now for the second question, can i manually add channels (i.e. channels that don't make it on the scan but viewable on other software)

nothing is provided for that yet. afaik the only way would be to edit the sqlite database directly.

You'd be better off posting the logs and details of any channels not found, so I can correct the problem.

(I assume you mean digital channels. You can add analog channels)

How can one add analog channels manually? I have spent hours looking for a way, including examples of channel xml files, which are nowhere I can find. Appreciate any help. I do not have cable or other TV services so can't scan but want to view/record from my VCR. Can't do anything because I have no channels and no way to add a channel that I can find.

Thanks.

Do you have an 'Analog' device listed on your Settings->Device screen? Basically you double click the analog device, then click the 'Add' button, enter the name/number/etc, then hit OK to add it.
