Crashing/Studdering on mini guide

Every so often when I view the mini guide with live TV, the video will start stuttering like crazy in the background. Twice now it's locked up NPVR, fortunately I can still get the contextual menu to pop up and exit.

Attached are my logs. I'm up-to-date on all of the patches.

It may also be a weak graphic card, I have a 2.4GHz AMD dual core system that runs npvr just fine, but the lousy onboard nvidia graphics have always stuttered when the osd is shown.

Core2Duo @ 2.6GHz, running at 720p via HDMI from an Asus NVidia GeForce 8600GS (w/HDMI output), 4GB RAM, Win 7. Source is HD-PVR.

Might be apples to oranges, but the setup is the same as when I had GB-PVR running and it was never an issue.

If you start live tv from the 'live tv' button on the main menu instead of in TV Listings, does it make any difference?

I will make every effort to test it this way. It's pretty intermittent, so it may take me a little while to reply back. Thanks!

That was quick. Starting with Live TV only:

- watched some BBC America
- mini guide changed to local news, no problems
- mini guide to get to History Channel, stuttering. Once channel changed, it's fine (it always is.)

I intentionally waited a minute or so. It seems to be triggered when I'm surfin' the guide. Thinking back, when it does happen, it's always in concert with navigating the guide.

Was this 'mini guide' when you get when you press the up/down arrows, or the F1 key (full tv guide)?

Sorry for the bad terminology. It is the full TV guide (F1).

Is the problem also there if you use the up/down keys to change channels instead?
