NPVR Remote Recommendation

Hi,

I have a huge pile of Hauppauge 45 remotes, but due to a recent upgrade I can't get IR32 to work anymore.

Can anyone recommend a simple replacement remote system? Would I need something like a USB remote sensor and EventGhost, or is there a simpler way? Anywhere I can download an EventGhost (or similar) setup?

Ideally I'd like to keep using the Hauppauge 45, but am also open to change.

I use IR server suite on a client PC that doesn't have any Hauppauge cards in it. It was extremely easy to set up, and a lot simpler than EventGhost or Girder.
I think you'll need an MCE remote receiver, but you can get it to detect input from any remote. I have it receiving commands from the Hauppauge remote.

i'd second that..but latest one had problems..[?] hopefully it's fixed...[or they changed syntax and forgot to tell people]
try it out and downgrade if it doesn't blast..[if you need it,that was all that was broken]
works with many remote dongles so you have a choice.. i use it with mce dongle also...

i have it setup to use post codes for focusless operation..

Got it working with my Hauppauge hardware. Turns out in IR32.exe you can now specify which sensor to use with a command line switch.

Nova-HD-S2 - ir.exe /IR880 /QUIET
Nova-DT-500 - ir.exe /IRHCWHID /QUIET
