Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of getting a Netbook to serve as my NPVR Server, using a Hauppage WinTV-HVR-1900 analog connection.
It will be behind a sort of closet door, connected by cable to the Airport Extreme, serving a PopcornHour A-110 with a WirelessN dongle.
I intend to use it mainly for recording, not live TV, and then serving the saved content.
It will also have to be my Squeezebox Server and UPNP Server, preferably being able to simultaneously serve 2 video streams (one from NPVR, one from UPNP) and 2 audio streams from Squeezebox.
I intend to make it go to sleep, or hibernate, as soon as it is "idle", (i.e. not serving one of those services), and WakeOnLan as soon as one of the clients needs it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I am now beginning the selection and want to set it up in the next month of March.
Thanks
Pedro.
