Hello,

I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this but here is the scenario.

After a manual scheduled recording is complete, I can go to "What's New", and the recordings are shown as "Failed" with the error message of "Recording service not running at recording time". This is incorrect as the shows were recorded correctly.

Any thoughts? I'm happy because they did record, but the conflicting error I thought I should share.

Let me know if I need to email logs.

Windows 7 64bit.

I may answer my own question here, but is this error because of post processing? The app is looking for a .ts when it has already been converted to .avi?

If you can post your npvr.log and nrecord.log from the time of the recording, I'll take a look.

At this point I'm pretty sure the Error message is cause by taking the original .ts and converting to .avi, and then moving the .avi to another directory.

I get that error in the logs after a successful recording and post-processing of .ts file but I have no "Failed" status in Recordings.

obiwan

edit: I have a season recording setup and for every timeslot Npvr tries to record it twice. One Fails one succeeds.
In TV Listings Recordings there is one marked "Failed" and one marked "Ready"

I think I will wait till updates are out and see if this persists.

I am not sure if this is the same thing, but I am getting the failed recording message on 2.0 while it is still recording, then later, the message goes away. I checked an hour long recording that was 50 minutes into the recording and it listed as "failed". I then when into Videos and the file was there and I played it. About 15 minutes later, I checked Recordings again and it was listed as a normal recording and was not marked a Failed. Odd I will pull logs if needed.
