Sub, in looking into this problem http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post407160 which I thought was NEWA I think i found that you can't create recurring recordings without EPG data even with NPVR. Is that correct?

Recurring recordings were certainly working in the Recordings screen last time I tested them. I just had a quick check now, and it seems to working, I can schedule a recurring recording and see all the pending episodes.

If it's only NEWA manual recordings not working, I'd probably need some info from UJB about what parameters he is using when he tries to create manual recordings.

I am talking recurring recordings with no EPG data. In the linked example I am speculating LoadListingsMatchingTitle(channel=7030,title=) won't find potential matches in epg_event because there is nothing for 7030

To be honest, I'm a bit confused by this - I think UJB is using the wrong API for creating manual recurring recordings. You'll notice that manual recurring recordings created by the Recordings screen when result in this LoadListingsMatchingTitle() message, which you should only get for recurring recordings linked to EPG entries.

If I try with NPVR I get something similar that doesn't schedule either

Code:
<Rules>
  <EPGTitle>(no show details)</EPGTitle>
  <ChannelOID>7081</ChannelOID>
  <ChannelName>CHUO</ChannelName>
  <StartTime>2011-03-18T07:00:00.0000000Z</StartTime>
  <EndTime>2011-03-18T07:30:00.0000000Z</EndTime>
  <PrePadding>1</PrePadding>
  <PostPadding>2</PostPadding>
  <Quality>0</Quality>
  <Keep>0</Keep>
  <Days>MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY</Days>
  <TimeslotStart>2011-03-18T05:30:00.0000000Z</TimeslotStart>
  <TimeslotEnd>2011-03-18T08:30:00.0000000Z</TimeslotEnd>
</Rules>

2011-03-18 23:04:04.455    [DEBUG][5]    LoadListingsMatchingTitle(channel=7081,title=(no show details))

When I use "(no show details)" as the NEWA title, the XML looks the same as if NPVR scheduled it.

I just tried week days here and it seemed to do right thing.

Can you try scheduling one in the Recording screen, then post your npvr.log?

That was my main problem, I was scheduling from the Guide, Man-Rec did give me Pending "Defaults" and looking at the XML there is no <EPGTitle/> in your markup which probably is the what UJB needs to look at.

I seem to have a problem where I set up a recurring recording to record on all channels and it only records on the "first," my channel 1 rather than 25 or 21, etc. It looks fine in the Recurring section, but no dice.

Also, I boot my machine at 10:45 AM. With GBPVR, if I had a recurring recording scheduled at 10:30 AM, it would record half the show. With NPVR it failed yesterday. Any thoughts on what the issue is?

Attached are my logs.
