I have my Nova-T (909) working to a point (no Audio). I have XMLTV listings working and can select any of several channels via the TV guide and they function OK (although no audio). The problem is when I try and change channels I get a new window that appears with a title "ActiveMovie Window" which displays a background with a slight green tint. GBPVR also crashes.

Any ideas ?
Anyone else experienced this ?

Im running XP Pro SP2, cyberlink mpgmux.ax 5.0.0.1230. I have an X-card, but as of yet I haven't quite got girder to relay Xcard remote commands quite right to GBPVR so I'm using software decoder for playback and a keyboard.

This will be because your mpeg2 decoder is incompatible with the renderer (ie Cyberlink with VMR). Either change the MPEG2 decoder, or select overlay as the renderer.

Wow, thanks for the rapid response. I wish I'd stayed on the forum a bit longer and caught it.

Anyway, tried changing to overlay manager and VMR 7 and any combination of the "intervideo video deocder", "Mainconcept MPEG decoder" and "System default" under the config, playback tab. I've tried rebooting a couple of times as well. No joy though, except in a few combnations the DVB stops working. All still cause the ActiveMovie window when I change channels.

Also, all have no audio.

Edit :
OK, tried the various combinations of Audio Renderer and Decoder. No change there. Music Library plays Mp3s fine. Other apps play the DVB OK as well - Hauppauge / technotrend and TVedia.

I'll have a look at what MPEG2 decoder I have and priorities, etc. Although I must admit i'm not an expert here.

Email you logs to me at support@devnz.com and I'll take a look.

If you have them installed, it could be dscaler or ffdshow interferring with things.

Hi Sub,

Emailed you the logs and you were right - It was the Xcard interferring. I disabled the Decoder and Splitter filters under the filters control program that comes with the Xcard.
I now have audio and it changes channels.

Thanks for your help.

Its not quite perfect though, I get audio when I change channels but no picture then after 10 seconds or so the audio stops. If I change channel again the activemovie window comes up with a picture and audio. Another change and it stops. Kill the active movie window(S) and change channel and it works the same but now two activemovie windows appear.

I've also noticed that the GBPVR icon in the system tray changes from red to blue when the audio stops - it must be recording.

I've had a look at re enabling these filters and outputing to my xcard (doesn't work with them disabled) and I get picture and audio for a couple of seconds then back to menu.

I'll  have another browse over the settings and try a few more things. At least with your two replies I have something to go on.

Thanks.
