Does NPVR automatically clear the live TV buffer directory?

Hi,

I just noticed that I have around 55 gigabytes of data in my buffer directory.

Should NPVR have cleared this data automatically, and if so, under what circumstances does it do this?

this was a bug fixed a release or two ago; perhaps you're just seeing old buffer files left over from before the bug was fixed?

NPVR doesn't wait long enough, and the first and sometimes last PCH live files fail to get deleted.

I don't think so, the machine was a fresh build at the start of March, and it's only ever had the latest version.

Also, I'm not using a PCH, just the server and PC clients.

I just noticed this as well, i dont use the live TV option that often, but recently tested this out, in addition NPVR does not delete recording when deleting them from a client

I've got this too. Using two clients and just found 115Gb of 'LIVE' tv on the server when the tv stopped working because of full disk drive.

I have worked around this problem by setting a scheduled task to delete anything in the buffer directory once a day.

I used to have a line in my UpdateEPG.bat that deleted all the livetv buffer files. Not any more since the bug was fixed for livetv on the npvr machine and I have no active clients.

I found about a dozen recent files in my temp folder. All were from watching live tv from the PCH. I assume this is a bug??? Hopefully this is on subs radar. No hurry though, I know he is burried now.
