Current Displayed Song Title Lagging

Has anyone else noticed that the title of the current music title playing lags by up to a minute? The titlebar of the app (when not in full screen mode) is pretty much instant, but the one displayed on the bottom of the screen isn't too speedy on updating.

I dont remember noticing this myself, but bump the thread next week (when I'm back in NZ) and I'll take a look.

Here the next title shows up some 10-15 seconds before the song starts.

Sub, I can offer an explanation, since I have a few samples where this happens. It looks like you are using taglib-sharp to not only get the tags but you get the duration too, on some VBR files this can take 10-20 seconds. If you don't need this calculation I would like to see it disabled.

I found the reason for the delay, and have fixed it for the next release. Previously it would only have updated when the clock ticked over to a new minute, or something else on the screen forced the screen to be updated, or the window was resized.

The problem above wasnt related to this VBR problem you describe, but if you can supply one of these files, I'd be happy to take a look at this too.

Sorry again, this VBR delay turns out to be with an unreleased screensaver plugin *cough* ACTCMS *cough* which I guess also steals all NPVR resources processing these VBR files in the Notify loop, preventing the Now Playing info from displaying

One thing off your list, but I will still send you the file anyway, because it won't play to the end, it cuts off 12 seconds short, at the time that shows on the playlist screen which is calculated wrong. The problems are probably related Playing via graphedit it does play to end.
