Recording video from web TV

I watch free movies from internet web sites. Is there a way to record it and watch later? I have a ATI Theater 550 Pro. I used to use GBPVR 2 years back, but have not used it or updated it. I am now revitalizing my old PC to become my hone theater and will install NPVR, but just want to know if I can record video movies from web sites.

There is nothing built-in for web video - mainly because of the dozens of forms of streaming technology used, and DRM etc, make it a difficult thing to do.
