Hauppauge devices detected by setup (HVR-1250 Model 79xxx but not PVR PCI II 26xxx)

My Win7 64-bit installed drivers for both of my Hauppauge tuners. One is a PCIe HVR-1250 (Device Manager labels it HVR-1250 Model 79xxx), and the other is a PCI PVR 250 (Device Manager labels is PVR PCI II 26xxx). NPVR shows 2 items in the Devices branch: ATSC Hauppauge WinTV 885 and QAM Hauppauge WinTV 885. I disabled the QAM because I only have OTA, and stations do get scanned by the ATSC WinTV 885 entry.

Why doesn't NPVR have an entry for my PVR 250?

If NPVR doesnt list any analog sources, then its probably because you dont have required softpvr components installed (MainConcept mux filter etc). See the sticky support thread or wiki for more info.

Does NPVR detect devices every time it is started? I assume that it must, if by installing WinTV7 so my PVR 250 will show up. I'll give it a whirl, and am reading the sticky. <should have checked there first> thanks for the kick!
