A couple of clarifications on the changes in 2.1.4 if I could!

First, I'm presuming the patches already made to NUtility.dll will carry forward, and were just not interesting enough for the change list.

Were there any other changes in the API world of which we should be aware? The DLL folders and multiple listviews per skin are the ones dearest to my mind, although I'm sure other developers have different priorities. (But they aren't writing this, so nyah!)

Anything else we should know about?

Edit:

2.1.4 does seem to check for support .dll files in a /common folder, which can be in either /Program Files/ or the Users tree. It doesn't seem to check the actual plugin folder though, which seems a bit odd. I must be missing something.

Yes, any patches previously made to NUtility.dll will carry forward.

There was no significant changes. There was a few small additions to the API for allowing plugins to tell if music playback was paused, and to block/unblock the screen saver but that was about it.

There shouldnt be any changes on this front in 2.1.4. It should be the same as previous builds. It will only look in a plugin directory for a supporting DLL if it can work out what plugin is missing the file. Unfortunately Windows doesnt tell the app which source DLL is requiring the dependent DLL, and the app can only work it out sometimes (by looking at the stack trace of the currently executing code).

For skinning there is also <Element name="CutAwayPreTask" location="0,0" size="100,100" alpha="255" />
