I just noticed on a few HDPVR recording sometimes NPVR doesn't start with the normal ts headers and I can't play it on the PC, I get a black screen. Going back to it gives this trace. I hadn't noticed this before because the PCH plays it okay.

Code:
System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

Looking at the file with a hex editor view attached, I notice a normal header at 0xED and if I remove the bytes before it the file does play.

This patch should stop the creation of any more of these files with crap at the beginning.

Would this affect LiveTV as well? I've had a couple of instances where starting LiveTV is just a black screen.

Hopefully it helps.

For the record though, I have been hoping to get back to looking at your client/server issue, but unfortunately more stuff seems to pile up every day, so its sometime hard to find the time I need.

I know how that is. If I continue to have issues, I'll just keep posting replies to my thread. Then you'll have (hopefully) a ton of data to maybe find something.
