Recording with Colossus

I'm currently a SageTV user looking at alternatives. I have installed 2.2.6 and have run into a problem. After configuring the capture card, channels (DirecTV) via Schedules Direct. When I try to watch live TV or record I get nothing but a black screen. I can watch recordings from SageTV just fine so I don't think it is andecoder issue. Any tips?

What H.264 video decoder do you have selected on the Settings->Decoders screen?

I have selected the Microsoft driver that comes with Windows 7. I just added one of the tuners from an HDHR and it works fine. So I just need to get this and then I can move on to getting Ethernet tuning to work for DTV.

Try watching live tv, then zip and attach the npvr.log and nrecord.log and I'll see if anything stands out.

This doesn't look right, you might need to compress and upload the database.

As requested here is the database file. I had to split it into three zip files as the uncompressed file is 25MB.

If you record, do you end up with a file with a normal size?

No. They're all 0 bytes. Is it possibly an issue with the fact that I'm using HDMI?

Since the Colossus is an Analog tuner do I need the SoftPVR stuff? I installed it, but I might have it in the wrong place.

HDMI should be fine (assuming you're not feeding it HDCP content).

That said, your logs dont look like the channel you setup was configured for HDMI.
