FF/REW Question

I have moved fromSageTV to this product and I am trying to watch some of my old recordings. While watching them I am using the FF and REW buttons to skip commercials. The strange thing is that it seems to only respond to the button once and thenignores it. Is there a setting to correct this?

I see that reference, but what I'm trying to figure out is why it doesn't respond if I hit the button a second time.

My mistake. I meant to saythe skip forward and back buttons not ff and rew.

It depends on how you've got your remote mapped to correspond to keyboard input.
I use EventGhost to handle my remote signals.
You can map all of the Nextpvr commands plus anything else like "log off" and control other apps like VLC.
Also I recently migrated to W7 and had conflicts with remote input: WinTV/WMC/EventGhost.
I disabled Windows Media Features and everything is cool.

Also you might want to check/uncheck "handle MCE remote" in one of the "Misc" settings tabs.

I am on W7, but I have uninstalled Media Center and since this is just a client I never installed WinTV. I tried EventGhost, but it seemed to add a significant response delay so I started just using an MCE remote.

It's always best to post logs with example on what is wrong, in this case showing your attempts to skip back and fourth. It also helps to give details on the file type (ie mpeg-ps, mpeg-ts, h264 from your HDPVR etc)

Good point. I'll try to remember that for future posts and grab logs for this one later. I have noticed that this is only happening on recordings from SageTV. New recordings made with nPVR work fine. I'm guessing it is the lack of the timing info file.
