high CPU, fan always on

Using the R2, I have noticed that my CPU fan is constantly on. Probably due to firefox being open at same time, and my cpu is an AMD E-450 (netbook). With ProgDVB, it doesn't heat up the same, but ProgDVB is buggy.

I looked at task manager, and see that NRECORD.EXE is running too.
I don't record, just watch live TV. Is there a way to make NextPVR lighter?

When is the CPU high? Does it show NextPVR.exe is using it, or some other process?
- If it's when you're navigating around the menus, then it may be a case of not having the directx runtime installed
- If it's when you're watching live tv of playing video, then the CPU usage will come down to the decoders and renderers you're using.

You specifically commented about firefox running at the same time. Does it make any difference if you dont run it?

After updating Firefox to 8, it seems better. Firefox has fixed it's cpu usage.
