I shouldn't have opened perfmon. When I start NMT the PC idles near 0 CPU and then I play a video it also runs very near 0. However when I return to the OSD menu it idles at unacceptable 36-40% CPU dropping to 0 if I play a video. The screen saver is not yet active and the only screen update is the time each minute. When the screen saver start it is about 30%.

When I play audio (before starting video) I only get 5% CPU and that include the 1 second update for the timeline in MusicBox4 and then it drops to 0 again when audio stop.

Log attached

So this is only when the OSD is visible on the NMT?

Sorry I didn't mean OSD over video, I meant the basic 2D graphic menu system.

With the OSD on video the PC CPU only spikes when rendering,

If I go into the recording screen hit stop to change the Sort order (or after any ShowMessage popup) the CPU will go back down to zero to. It is only after video playback that it gets out of control.

Sub, did you have a chance to look at this? Now that the weekend is here, I wanted to know if I should advise NMT users not to upgrade.

Just looking now, but I'm not seeing it so far. Do you have to play the video for a few minutes or anything else notable?

Are you seeing screens being pushed through to the NMT during this time?

Did you play the video from the Recordings screen or Videos? Do they both do the same thing?

No seconds of playback do it.

Nothing, I saw what the logs show.

LiveTV, I didn't try recordings. However I also saw the same high CPU after whurlston's YouTube plugin and the native player and again Stop on the recordings screen stopped the high CPU.

Does this bug affect only systems using the NMT, or would pc playback too?
