After update to 2.3.6 I no longer get full EPG update during the automatic updates. On the other hand, manual EPG update started from System plugin seems to fetch all available EPG data.

The problem is probably associated with the fact that my provider emits a partial EPG for any given channel on several transponders. Unfortunately only a singe transponder is emitting complete EPG. As a result only the last scanned transponder EPG is included, which is in most cases incomplete.

Is there a way to disable deleting of old listings after each transponder scan during automatic EPG update?

Bump.

The thread should have been entitled: Incomplete automatic EPG update

I don't know the answer but it you know the frequency that transmits all the channels' EPG you can try DVBGuide to grab them to an xmltv file and update your epg from that file. That's what I do.

I have had it setup this way before 2.2.6. 2.2.6 was able to fetch EPG normally and I would prefer to have it this way in 2.3.6 as well so NextPVR knows about used tuners.

The same thing happened to me Sun and Mon morning but the logs were overwritten by the time I noticed so didnt bother to post. It was a random selection of channels without any EPG data and not channels on a particular MUX but an EPG update cured the problem. Today I got to the logs in time but the EPG which uses standard DVB 8 day EPG data is fully populated. I will keep an eye on the situation in case it happens again.

If it worked on 2.2.6, then it should work in 2.3.6. There werent any substantial changes in this logic between the two.

I can not exclude that my provider is doing something, but the problem appeared during the first automatic update after upgrade to 2.3.6.

I am attaching logs, just in case. There was an automatic update at 3AM and a manual update around 7:45AM.

I have just noticed that this time also manual update failed to fetch complete EPG.

There are no shows for SLO 1 in TV GUDE but in the npvr.log I see:

Try this patch, and add <IgnoreOtherEIT>true</IgnoreOtherEIT> to your config.xml's <General> section.

How can I describe this update for the patch list?

Would "add <IgnoreOtherEIT> parameter to disregard non-EPG data during DVB EPG update" be correct?
