Use both SVideo and Component on HDPVR?

My HVR-1600 that I used for SVideo input died on me, so I thought I would use my HDPVR's SVideo input instead.. is there a way I can configure my channels such that some use the SVideo input, while others use the Component?

This way I could keep the SD content at 480i, rather than needlessly filling up disk space to have them recorded in 1080i over component..

The optional blaster, audio and video options get modified when you add new channels so remove the channels you want in SD and then re-add them with the SVideo setting.

When I try to add a channel, it only asks me for a channel name and number; no options to tell it to use SVideo..

I meant add the channel on the HDPVR device.

yeah, that's what I tried to do.. I went to Devices, right clicked on the HDPVR and selected to setup device. At the top of that window, it's set to use Component since most of my channels are in HD.. then I click 'Add' to add a channel, the box that opens up only asks for a Channel Number and Name, and doesn't ask me which input to use. (it just assumes I want component I suppose?)

Does nPVR even support using more than one input source on the HDPVR?

You change the source on the popup before doing the add. It's ugly but it works.

If you set it to component then add some channels, those channels are associated with the component input. If you then set it to svideo, then add some more channels, those new channels are associated with svideo, while the existing channels are still associated with the component input.
