Playing a program which is still recording past the end time of the recording, after the recording has stopped, the playback fails to respond to skips, and is very reluctant to stop.

The log is for the following actions.
a recording set to stop at 11:40
start npvr at 11:35
start playback at 11:36
watch until after recording stops
11:41 try to skip a few times, no response, press stop and it freezes
after a while it continues playing. Pressing stop a few times, that repeats, but it won't actually stop.
11:43:20 it stops, and does several sorts on the recordings list (the leftover stop instructions).

The log makes it look as if the skips work and the stop wasn't pressed until 23:43.

I'm running NPVR 2.3.6 with R1 patch and Skip patch, using EVR renderer and PDVD11 H264 decoder.

You need to install the last patch in the current patch list, the one that says something like "improving skipping in LiveTV and in-progress-recordings". A recording you started watching while in progress is still 'in-progress' for the purpose of skipping even if it's ended by the time you have the problem.

edit: nevermind this, I had failed to notice that that latest patch is skipping on PC Clients. I have updated the description accordingly.

smiffypr's problem is a problem with the new NPVRTSReader2, and I'm checking it out now.

Cheers. I installed NPVR 2.3.6 Skip Patch 2 and the problem appears to be gone.
