R2a - No Live TV

Hi,

I've updated to 2.3.6 R2a and although I have to admit that I can seek through recordings much better, on the down side Live TV doesn't work anymore!

Logs attached. Downgrading to R1 gets everything working again but I wanted to try the patch for EPG updates.

The npvr.log doesnt show the live tv attempt. Can you post a new set of logs?

Hi sub,

I've tried again and logs attached. NPVR stops responding when trying to watch live TV, so need to end with Task Manager.

If you schedule a recording, does it happen?

I should add, I had R1 installed and then downloaded R2a ZIP. I haven't added any other updates as I wanted to check this worked before applying the EPG patch.

Hi sub,

I was just checking on that very thing. Unfortunately scheduled recordings don't work either, nor does streaming via http://localhost:8866/. Each time I try use a tuner, NTray stops responding and the only way to recover that is to reboot the system. Stop/Starting the recording service doesn't seem to help.

I suspect you dont have a full set of files. I haven't tried johnsonx42's zipped patches, but I have post all the relevant files in the skipping thread.

Hi sub,

TLDR version of what I've been upto. Reinstalled and individually patch after R1. Works fine until patch 21, fails at patch 22. Whatever changed in "22. improve logging by NDigitalHost - log each capture device" has killed my NPVR install.

Code:

Logging updates to see when system fails:

- Uninstalled NPVR and then reinstalled the non-patched version from the sticky, runs fine.  
- Added R1 patch, runs fine.
- Added up to patch 18, runs fine.
- Added up to patch 19, runs fine.
- Added up to patch 20, runs fine.
- Added up to patch 21, runs fine.
- Added up to patch 22, fails.
