I wish npvr had integrated support for adding artwork, such as album artwork, tv show/movie covers etc. I know it possible to do but after playing around with it for a while I gave up as I just felt like I was spinning my gears. Even if it wasnt necessarily integrated into the core of npvr even if it was just a plugin that "just worked" that would be awesome

It has got support for displaying media art if you have these files available.

imagegrablite that mvallevand writes should help you.

The reason it's not a core function is location.....if I record 2 and a half men say, and it's 6 month to 1 year after the US broadcast, no episode information/episode image is going to be found as my airdate doesn't match tvdb.

Although show names, for the tv show graphic should be fairly standard as it's based on name.

IGL (as I call it) should work reasonably well for getting cover art anywhere in the world when there is a title and subtitles or when the genre indicates that the file is a film/movie and the show name is on the moviedb.org.

The air date is only used to help refine the search when renaming files to S#E# format when the episode number (subtitle) isn't found for a title.

It does work best in North America, there is improved logic for processing unique id's etc.

What IGL doesn't do is retroactively grab cover art, there are already several good utilities that do this, but it will get art for shows that are scheduled for recording.
