Please may there be a configuration option regarding series and episode numbers in the Subtitle field. My vote would be for three options ...

1) Always add Series and Episode numbers to Subtitle.
2) Never add Series and Episode numbers to Subtitle.
3) Add Series and Episode numbers to Subtitle when Subtitle is blank.

Thank you for listening.

Hi,

can you please explain where exactly you want the episode numbers to show up? They already appear in the details popup and in the programme information of the current selection in the listings screen. Since I'm not actively changing any of the stored programme properties in the database, I could only display the additional information somewhere in the tv listings or tv recordings plugin.

Apologies. My post is not clear.

I use my XMLTV grabber to copy the series and episode to the subtitle before NextPVR loads the xmltv data into the database. The subtitle in epg-event in the database looks like "S3E20/24 - Killer Date".

TV Listings adds the series and episode again. My preference would be for TV Listings to not display series and episode data (except when the subtitle is null in the database). Others might like to have the series and episode displayed which is why I suggested a configurable option.

Thank you.

Hi,

sorry, I'm not intending to add such an option, as it sounds too specific to me. If you're adding the information by yourself, you may also think about not doing that, and instead write the series/episode information into the appropriate fields in xmltv.
