First off I would like to say thank you for developing software that will finally help bridge the gap for xmbc+live tv! As you can tell by my user name I am very excited!

second - what I have to work with.

I currently switch between xbmc and MC7 for live tv. It is not the most fluent work around and the WAF is very low.

We run multiple xbmc instances in the house and 1 thing that bugged the heck out of us was the inability to dvr to a network share, so thank you for that option.

My question is - what is the best way to get nextpvr and xbmc integrated and working for live tv? I have followed the instructions listed here. When attempting to access live TV xbmc freezes and hangs on "working" unfortunately.

Any advice/tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated.

You'll likely get asked to post logs from both XBMC & NPVR -- probably XBMC being the more important side first..

No Sir - as of now Live TV only works via WMC and the hdhr quicktv application set to use VLC as the preview app. Going to reboot and test again then post the latest logs.

*note* this is a freshly imaged machine. Has the required list of installed files

You'd be best to get it working in NextPVR before trying to get it working with XBMC.

First step, make sure you've you have setup the device on NextPVR's Settings->Devices screen, ie can see the channels listed in the NextPVR TV Guide screen.

when attempting to view live tv via npvr screen remains black and the application hangs. logs attached.

In that log it looks like you need to go to the Settings->Decoders screen and select the decoders you'd like to use.

hmm I left decoders per the recommended suggestions - screen shot attached.

There is no recommended settings.

Given you're in the US, you'll need to make sure you select an MPEG2 video decoder, and an AC3 audio decoder.
