Here is an idea of how the CuBox http://www.solid-run.com/ works with livetv from NextPVR

http://youtu.be/Z7i6hJpjFao

The channels played are

1080i
720p
720p h264
480i

This is using a recent armhf update to a specialized xbmc distro called GeeXbox Overall it is pretty responsive although the microSD card writing seems slow. UI speed is probably on par with my OpenElec ION machine and better than the Pivos XS but the video playback of 720p seems to have slow scaling, 1080i is better.

Overall while it has a nice form factor sata support, a few linux distros and lots of RAM 1GB, it is a bit expensive compared to the market and GeeXbox doesn't support sub's plugin. It might end up being a MySQL engine for my many xbmc boxes when Frodo stabilizes.

It is a better computer than media player so I haven't tried a lot of samples with this build but I plan on creating a grid when my RPi comes. I'll include some screen shots too. I got this ugly case today http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3//viewt...40&t=10728 and you could fit two CuBoxs inside it with lots of room to spare. It is about the size of the power adaptor http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8141/74695...9cc7_z.jpg and the hdmi and network jack approx double the length.
