As the title says, I'm trying to get the 2650 going as a QAM tuner.
System Info
- no firewall
- no anti virus
- no antispyware

As per the recent post by GlennH, I stopped the NPVR recording service, changed to NextPVR in the HDHomerun setup utility, then restarted the recording service and scanned. One interesting thing is that the HDHomerun setup utility did not detect any tuners, but NPVR obviously did as it scanned, with the green channel 1 light on the 2650 flashing throughout.

Logs attached, thanks for any help.

edit 1: The green cable status light is not lit. Does not light when I remove the splitter, so signal strength is not the problem Also, when installing software, app goes to Hauppauge site (which is down), then exits... I'll poke around further.

edit 2: The 2650 does show up as a network adapter.

edit 3: Was able to fully update software and firmware (Sandy had knocked out Hauppauge server), still no go.

It looks like it doesn't like something returned from http://192.168.167.81/lineup.xml.

Can you save the xml file, zip it up and post it?

OK, some more info.

1. I procured a "test" 2650 to see if it was a hardware issue. Same result- no channels
2. I ran the original 2650 on my laptop, which has Windows firewall, but added exceptions for Nextpvr and nrecord. No channels.

So... not the 2650, not the computer hardware. I'm wondering if anyone is successfully running Nextpvr/2650 successfully with HDHomerun software version 20120405. And if anyone has a copy of the previous version, 20120128, that I could try... kinda at wit's end!

Although not linked on their site, Silicondust keeps old versions on their server for a while. Just use the following format:
Code:
http://download.silicondust.com/hdhomerun/hdhomerun_windows_[b]YYYYMMDD[/b].exe
For 20120128, it would be http://download.silicondust.com/hdhomeru...120128.exe

Just remember that some firmware versions can't be downgraded. That said, didn't they separate the Silicondust devices from the Hauppauge devices in the driver at some point (meaning that the Silicondust download would ignore the DCR-2650)? I could be wrong on that though.

It didn't like http://192.168.167.81/lineup.xml because this is the 2650 webpage for channel lineup, and there is nothing in it (except the words "channel name"). Not sure how it could be populated already, unless this is something that happens for the HDHomerun Prime and not the 2650.

xml file attached.

For every other HDHR Prime and Hauppauge DCR-2650 owner we've encountered to date, that page has returned an xml file containing the list of channels.

The fact you've included an html page rather than a xml content makes me wonder if you've somehow entered the url incorrectly. A request for xml shouldn't have resulted in html.

I brought the webpage up in a browser (on the system with the 2650), then saved it.

Is the list of channels from the HDHomrun Prime Setup? It does not detect any tuners.

Sorry, I don't know then. NextPVR needs the device to be supplying it's lineup.xml.
