New mc2xml Page

I am definitely a novice with NextPVR. I found that mc2xml a bit out of date. I have rewritten the page about it. Becoming a full author is too big a mountain for me to climb right now. And I do feel that I am not experienced enough for that role. I would appreciate an expert review, correct, etc. this new writeup and get it into the wiki documentation.

Your posts and comments and work speak volumes

There is really no deliniation between an editor or what you may call a full author on this wiki!

The fact that you are beavering away at this is all you need. The mc2xml pages certainly need some work. There has been a previous edit since I last set these pages up. I was in contact with Mr mc2xml to get the pages right. I am sure the old link I have was assured to always remain constant but that has been changed. Perhaps he did get booted out of his old host! Will check link to mc2xml.

Otherwise. V difficult to think of but everything on these pages has to have a generic content. i.e. it is pretty useless giving examples of your particular set-up. That will not help other users? If you think you have a particular angle to your set up you could use a walkthrough on the wiki?

If I have understood you right you simply did not find the page you wanted that gave you the advice you needed?

Also, sub has suggested that no documentation instruct anyone to put any 3rd party stuff in the NPVR data directory. It's a minor thing, but the idea is to be able to tell someone having problems to just wipe out their whole NPVR data directory and re-install without having to worry about wiping out a bunch of other stuff. It's better to tell people to use a directory like C:\EPG or C:\MC2XML.

Thank you. I have come to believe that it is really clarity that is next to godliness :-) I understand and agree with keeping the "purity" of the NPVR data directory. Wish I would have thought of it when I did the writing. I have attached a new version.
