I have setup my tuner cards to handle 3 instances. However I have problem with only the first stream being decoded. I can see that it logs inn and gets the code to decode the 2nd and 3rd stream, however it only provide a .ts file with no video or audio.

I'm fairly certain this was working before, I have replaced some newa files since installing 2.5.9 - don't know if that could be related.

Any ideas what is wrong ?

You're not using encrypted channels with multidec? If so, it probably relates to either not setting up multidec plugins for the subsequent instances, or using the same login credentials for each (which some card servers don't like).

yes it's multidec, I have different login credentials for each instance and I see that it logs inn and gets codes, but still not de-crypted.

The whole situation is rather bizarre.

I'm watching a channel in XBMC, 20 minutes inn I have a recording starting on same channel and it grabs tuner #2 rather than use the same tuner.
Then I connect with VLC to same channel and it uses tuner #1 but all I get is black screen. (I check and see that it's getting codes from subscribtion card)
So I stop XBMC playback, now VLC works but it uses tuner #1 even though tuner #2 is still recording. XBMC fails to start channel now that VLC is streaming.
Then I try another VLC and it also fails while trying to use tuner #1
Then I have another schedule grabbing tuner #1 while I'm using it. So VLC stops.
I reconnect VLC and now it connects to tuner #2 and is working, connect another VLC and it's also working.
So at this point I have Tuner #1 recording, and Tuner #2 feeding 2 streams and a recording.

Tuner #1 is a dvb-c
Tuner #2 is a dvb-s2
They have seperate subscription cards

I will do more tests later, maybe change priority order to see what happens.

something is wrong. I just changed tuner priority and try to stream 3 instance of same channel. (this was actually working earlier when this tuner was #2 on priority list)

1. Start VLC stream #1 - working ok on tuner #1
2. Start VLC stream #2 - working ok on tuner #1
3. Start VLC stream #3 - working on on tuner #1 - but at this point stream #2 stops (gets kicked out)

Tuner is set up for 3 instance.

Seems something is wrong, guess I will have to provide logs, but not now I'm afraid, it's late.

Post the logs and we might be able to see what's going on. Can you also provide the log from your cardserver? If you are using ACAMD you can also try to start AcamdMonitor prior to activating channels.

yeah, I'm using AcamdMonitor and checking the cardserver and it was feeding codes to all instances of the card even though the stream turned up with no audio/video. Maybe I can do more testing this weekend and post some logs.
