The only time it should be renaming now when no subtitle exists is when you use the --season option, I even try to use the subtitle from the tvdb if it is found. I didn't build this thinking I needed a state machine so there is too much true/false logic already. If I change it sometime allow some more options for now seasons are only going to .S##E##. for regexp purposes.

Tonight's final episode of Fringe was a multi-episode file and I was eager to see how imageGrabLite and XBMC handled it. I was impressed that it worked well, one file Fringe.S05E12-E13.Liberty; An Enemy of Fate.ts and two listings.

It's sure nice when things work as planned.

Martin,
I'm running just the NFO and not the rename switch, I'm running xbmc 12 as my frontend and I am getting some strange results when it add the files to the library, one is that it adds them twice and the other is that it doesn't use the season and episode information from the created NFO it tries to pick it from the file name which turns out weird. I was wondering if anyone else was running it just nfo and having the same troubles. When I get home I will post all the logs from it.

I think updating advancedrules.xml as posted here will help http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post449504 I tried to convince xbmc devs that the filename used by NextPVR was causing problems with their rules for multi-part episode naming and that they should clean their's up but they didn't accept so I came up with my own rule. I didn't receive confirmation that this worked so please let me know if it helps you too.

The xbmc wiki for advancedrules.xml is here http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Adv...ttings.xml

Martin, I applied the advancedsetting you suggested, removed the directories from the library, cleaned the library, then rescanned it and I am getting the same result. I took a screen shot to show what I am talking about. The same file is making several entries, and it isn't using the season and episode number from the nfo. I don't really have a problem with using the rename option so long as it will rename my edl file that comskip makes along with it, and still let Nextpvr delete the files when necessary for recurring recordings. But I don't understand if imagegrablite does this or not.

I didn't address the multiple episode question because you said you would upload your xbmc.log. I expect your sources.xml file identify your folders twice.

Empty, rescan and upload your xbmc.log and I will see what gives.

Right, my apologies. I thought you were saying it would correct both problems so I didn't bother with the logs, now that I reread it I understand it better. Here are the logs from npvr that I promised along with xbmcs log from my latest refresh and my sources.xml and advancedsettings.xml

Your advanced rules aren't right, you missed the trailing --> in my comment XBMC might still be treating them as multipart.

Yeah that fixed the multiple entries, XBMC is now seeing it just once. however it is still not using the season and episode information found in the nfos created for the files it is still generating that based on the file name. I attached the associated nfos to the files shown in the screenshot, they are in the same directory as the videos, and my latest xbmc log.

Do you have your Recording folder in XBMC set as content type TV Shows? Hit C when it is selected to check.
