I have scripts setup to use comskip to mark commercials after recording, then use VideoRedo to edit mark points and strip/clean commercials.

As I like to use the "Recordings" view to stream/watch these videos on clients, I want to leave them as .ts files. My problem is, after cutting commercials with VideoRedo, the .ts files will not play in NPVR, they work fine with VLC though.

I noticed the timeline on the cleaned files were wrong, so I used the "QuickStream Fix" option in VideoRedo and the files were playable in NPVR.

My question is, does anyone have a similar process, and if so, are there settings within VideoRedo that can be updated so the "QuickStream Fix" step does not have to be run, i.e. the 'clean' step produces a file in the 'GOOD' format below.

When I compare the file attributes of the Bad and Good files I get the following:

BAD - output of 'Clean' commercial via VideoRedo step:
Code:
File Name: D:\PVR\Recordings\Manual Recordings\The Walking Dead.S03E12.Clear.ts
             File Size: 1088446464 ( 1.01 GB )
      Program Duration: 00:42:48.26
             File Type: PS - MPEG2
              Encoding: MPEG2
       Video stream Id:  xE0
   Encoding Dimensions:  720 x 480
          Display Size:  720 x 480
          Aspect Ratio: 4:3
            Frame Rate:  29.97 FPS
              Bit Rate:  5.000 Mbps
            VBV_Buffer:  224 KB
               Profile:  Main@Main
           Progressive: Prog or Int
                Chroma:  4:2:0
          Audio Format:  Layer 2
       Audio Stream Id:  xC0
        Audio Bit Rate:  384 Kbps
   Audio Sampling Rate:  48000 Hz
     TS Mux Rate (bps): -1
GOOD - Output of "QuickStream Fix" of the above BAD file:
Code:
File Name: D:\PVR\Recordings\Manual Recordings\The Walking Dead.S03E12.Clear_fixed.ts
             File Size: 1127585272 ( 1.05 GB )
      Program Duration: 00:42:48.26
             File Type: TS Stream
              Encoding: MPEG2
       Video stream Id:  4096 (x1000)
   Encoding Dimensions:  720 x 480
          Display Size:  720 x 480
          Aspect Ratio: 4:3
            Frame Rate:  29.97 FPS
              Bit Rate:  5.000 Mbps
            VBV_Buffer:  224 KB
               Profile:  Main@Main
           Progressive: Prog or Int
                Chroma:  4:2:0
          Audio Format:  Layer 2
       Audio Stream Id:  4097 (x1001)
        Audio Bit Rate:  384 Kbps
   Audio Sampling Rate:  48000 Hz
     TS Mux Rate (bps): 0

I will also post this question on VideoRedo forum, but at the moment, the forum registration is not working for me....
Any info appreciated...

I have never used it but after an google search I think you might be incorrectly using /t1 in your .vbs script and not /t4

Wow, so simple, but for some reason so elusive to me Smile Thank you, works perfectly now!

Just to satisfy my curiosity, what google search did you perform?

I saw you were incorrectly outputting mpeg-ps and searched

videoredo .ts command line

leading to this http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/thread...vlc.38607/ and #6 was clear

Yep, made the same mistake, viewed the documentation in the script, /t4 was not listed.

Thanks again!
