Installed Next PVR fine, scanned the channels. But when I go to turn a channel, message pops up saying "cannot communicate with recording service". Tried to turn it on with Next but got " Unable to start service: System.ServiceProcess, Timed Out". Tried starting service in administrative tools and got Error 1607

Zip and attach the nrecord.log and I'll take a look.

No signed of any error there. Is nrecord.exe still running in the background?

I'm not really sure what that means. Try running "nrecord.exe RUN" from the command line to see if it gives us a better error.

According to that, it looks like nrecord.exe is running in the background. When you tried checking for it in the task list, did you tick the 'show processes for all users' checkbox?
