Hey All,

Thank you in advance for your help on this matter, its much appreciated. I have had a really good go at troubleshooting this on my own (a couple of hours) and spent a lot of time poking around the FAQ and forum pages and had a good look at the logs on my own too. I am hoping that this is going to be bread a butter for someone with the knowhow.

I have a small Digital USB TV tuner attached to a friends PC (windows server 2008R2) as they with to use NEXT PVR software to watch and record TV.The logs indicate that the tuner is found by NEXT PVR and it identifies it as a DVB device so I do not need to install the huppage analog software to use the tuner. I have checked the prerequisites which seem to be met and I don't see any problems there from the logs, but I don't really know what I am looking for.

I cannot get the tuner to show up in the devices section of the setup so I am falling at the first hurdle (see below).

Attached are the log files as requested and a screenshot.

Thank you again for any help.

DZ.

It's not NextPVR Win 2008R2 doesn't support BDA digital devices but if you do an internet search for this there are some sites offering hacks that enable it.

Try taking a look at this. Lots of good info for running Server 2008 & 2008 R2 as a general use PC there. I'm running a couple of Server 2008 R2 systems as HTPCs and NextPVR clients with help from info there.

BDA R2 (TV Card support for Server 2008 R2)

I didn't read through the thread but it looks like it gives digital only (no analog tuner support)
