I have been running nDroid sucessfully on a HTC OneXL and a Toshiba AT100 for a few weeks, except for the EPG side of things being a bit flaky, mostly not displaying whats on now, next seems ok.
I updated the nDroid service on my PC so that I could try the Tablet Edition.
The tablet now gets stuck on the 'loading page' - the Android icon with the spinning circle below.
The phone still works fine, but the tablet just doesn't seem to connect.
I have tried running it with the windows firewall disabled with no change.

Logs are attached - any clues as to what I am doing wrong?

The logs didn't attach - post them and I'll take a look.

When you first started the EP app, did you check/change the IP and Password settings? - EP has it's own settings...

Alex,
I just stick with the default settings for the epg service - port=8790, usr=admin, pw=password

Brian
I will try load the logs again

I have tested the ports - 8790-8791, 8866. Pinging from the Tablet to the server PC and all report to be open.
I can also ping the tablet successfully (IP only), although I haven't been able ping the ports specified from the PC to Tablet and do not know how to open them or know if I need to

It looks like nDroid TE isn't connecting to the nDroid Service. I added app version logging for TE so I could trace different connections in the logs. In the nDroidServiceListener.log I'd expect to see something like this...
Code:
25/04/2013 20:33:03.611 hrhkey.Key: x-ndroid-appversioncode hrhkey.Value: 200
...with 200 representing v2.0.0 (the TE version). I just searched your log and there isn't an entry like that.

The Settings stuff didn't make it into TE so you can't change the network details there. Go to your tablet Settings, selct Apps then find nDroid (TE) and use "Force stop" and then "Clear Data". When you start nDroid (TE) you'll have to set the network details again - double-check them just in case you made a typo the first time around.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I had given up and gone back to the basic version. Have tried the stop/clear and triple check the network settings with no luck, and gone back to TE

I'm not sure I understand you.

To clarify - you can have the current nDroid (v1.8.7) app on the tablet at the same time as nDroid (TE) as long as the nDroid Service version is v1.8.8 (needed for TE but also compatible with nDroid v1.8.x).

As long as the network settings (IP/port) and username/password are the same for TE as for nDroid 1.8.7 there shouldn't be a difference when connecting - I literally copied/pasted the network code out of the nDroid project and into the TE project with exception of making TE report it's version number.

Sorry, I'm at a bit of a loss.

That should only be reported if your wi-fi connection has dropped out.

regarding versions, I am running nDroid (v1.8.7) on phone and tablet, nDroid (TE) on tablet, and nDroid Service version is v1.8.8 on PC.
I would like to blame the tablet, but my phone is playing up as well now.
I did replace my modem/router the other day - I'm starting to suspect something there now, even though things worked fine for a few days before so it does not seem to be logical to go there.

I'm at a loss as well
