Installed NPVR, patches and ffdshow. Running AMD Quad Core, 8GB (MEM test good), nVidia GTX260, HDHR Prime. HDHR works fine in WMC, just can't get pic or sound in NPVR. Logs attached. Appreciate any help.

If by any chance you have MPEG2 video depending where you got ffdshow decoders from you may have to enable "MPGE2" in the decoder setup because by default tis disabled.

Hi whiteyw80, those firewall rules need to match your network settings (i.e. Public or Private). In the U.S. you will definitely need to enable decoders for MPEG2 video and AC3 audio. Please state your Windows version so we can give better advice on decoders. It might also prove helpful to know who your cable provider is.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Current logs are attached. I do have the three programs added as firewall exceptions, however, I have completely disabled the firewall as well to rule this out as an issue. My cable provider is Comcast, and I'm using a cablecard. I am running Win 7 32-bit, SP1. I am using ffdshow video decoder for MPEG2 and H.264, and EVR for rendering. Still having the same issue with no sound and no video.

Or you could simply use Microsoft's decoder for MPEG2 video and maybe AC3Filter for digital audio (http://www.ac3filter.net/). I'm pretty sure Comcast has no H.264 channels. Have you managed to get a recording larger than zero bytes yet? That would at least rule out firewall issues.

Graham, I uninstalled ffdshow, and installed SAF, and I'm using LAV Video and LAV Audio decoders for MPEG2 video, MPEG1 audio and AC3 audio. Still not getting video or audio.
Zeb, I tried recording a few times, and file sizes are all zero. This is while my firewall is disabled. Any ideas? Thanks
