Having problems sorting this out. My Colossus tuner works with WinTV but is moving in slowmo with no sound on the SPDIF in NPVR. Any thoughts?

Your audio problem might not be such a tough row to hoe, and solving that might also solve your bizarre recording problem.
Code: 2013-07-08 22:07:11.095 [DEBUG][1] audio renderer now AAC This doesn't look right; SPDIF typically delivers AC3 Audio. I suggest that you tune to any channel that uses Component/SPDIF in live TV, right-click and move mouse pointer to Audio Stream, where "Track 1 [format]" should tell you which audio format is involved. However I suspect that in your case, you will only see "Disabled" under Audio Stream. In that case, folllow the steps suggested in this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post457353 [Edit] If Audio Stream is indeed AAC, then what decoder have you selected for AAC Audio on NextPVR's Settings -> Decoders page?

Did not know I had to select the channels to update them. Not sure how the sound got dropped? Just reinstalled NPVR so maybe the export/import process has a flaw?

I don't know if it's the same thing or not, exactly, but I sometimes get Colossus recordings that have perfect audio, but stuttering, slow-mo, lagging HD video. I haven't been able to figure out how to make it happen repeatably. Guess I should consider posting a log file...

If you don't have fixed rate from you STB, by default you could end up with HD recorded to SD spec if the channels goes from sd to hd.

Hmm... that might be worth a look. I'm recording HGTV Canada HD, which I'd have thought would be all-HD, but perhaps some of the older shows aren't upscaled? Like I said: "hmm...". Thanks for the thought, Martin.
