I have 2 major problems with Live TV:

1. When I switch channels the system seems to freeze. When I quit Live TV and re-open Live TV with another channel, that channel is working fine. But again, when switchting to another channel the systeem seems to freeze. When I say freeze I only mean Live TV, not the complete system.

2. Live TV is not running smootly, it's like there are to little fps or something like that. I've no other codecs available, I couldn't find how to install them?!

I'm running the newest version of NextPVR with all (5) patches on Windows 8 and using a Digital Devices Cine C/T tuner.
Any ideas?

both problems are probably codec related. Try SAF6: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post414049

Thanks, SAF (but only unlocked version) has solved problem #1, but problem #2 still exists. I've got the problem especially with fast graphics, for example: if someone is running from one side to another on TV it seems like he or she is followed by horizontal black/gray lines. Also "news bars" (with text about the latest news or the actual financial market reports) are "stuttering". Any more ideas? Thanks in advance.

I've build a new HTPC for this, here are the specs:

Code:
Lian-Li PC-C37B
ASUS F2A85-M LE motherboard
AMD A8-5600K APU with Big Shuriken 2 Rev.B cooler
Crucial 8GB DDR3-1866 Memory-kit (2x 4GB)
ADATA ASX900S3-64GM-C, 64GB SSD (boot/OS)
Western Digital WD30EZRX 3TB HDD (data)
LG BH16NS40
Digital Devices Cine C/T - DVB-C/T Twin Tuner
Be Quiet Pure Power CML8 430W
Windows 8 Pro

Settings of decoders/renderers are exactly the same as suggested at the Saf6 topic:

Do I understand correctly when I'm assuming that you'r using the onboard graphics? I'v seen reports that it does not live up to specs for a dedicated graphics card, so might be part of your problem. What screen resolution are you using? Does it help to decrease the resolution (like from 1920x1080 down to 1280x720)?

How is your CPU usage at the time? It could be high, indicating your CPU isn't keeping up. If its not that, it could be signal issues, and your decoder is only showing you undamaged frames.

The A8-5600k graphics core is quite powerful. I really doubt that's the issue.

Have you tried the Microsoft DTV-DVD decoder for H.264?

Yes with sub's patch. It's mpeg2video that only works on Win7
