If I had the skill, i would develop it and share it with the community, but alas I don't.
It would be nice if somewhere on one of the menu screens it would say something like....

20 Hrs SD, 5 Hrs HD Remain on drive C:
100 Hrs SD, 45 Hrs HD Remain on drive D:
Alert...drive C:\ below low threshold

or something like that...

Thanks!

There is already the System plugin that displays remaining space on the various drives. You can't directly equate an amount of space to a specific amount of recording time, because the bitrate varies wildly between different TV systems around the world, and between different channels on the same system (and probably even smaller variations between different shows on the same channel). I suppose Iain might be talked into adding some sort of calculation, but you'd probably have to enter a GB/HR factor that you find reasonable for your system.

An alert that the recording drive is getting low on space would be welcome; I find that NPVR crashes when it runs out of recording space (probably not NPVR's fault, it looks to me like it's the recording graph that locks up).

And that pretty much sums up why I've never bothered adding support for such an option.

I keep the NextPVR Windows Gadget running on the PC that I use daily. It links to the server over the LAN and has a graph at the bottom that shows how much space is left on the drive that NPVR records shows to. It doesn't show hours, but at least it gives you an idea of how much space you have left. The wiki for it is here: http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...ktopGadget
i3-3570k, 8GB RAM, Win10 Pro, Nvidia GT710, HDHomeRun (OTA), NPVR 6.x
On a clear disk, you can seek forever...
