stream live tv in x264 to xbmc?

I have tried a thousand different ways to get live TV streaming to xbmc in x264 but have been unsuccessful. I currently have a server that sends mpeg2 over to my android stick running xbmc but it can't decode it fast enough. I know h264 at 1080p in xbmc works perfectly.

So my question is, is there an exact way to stream live TV from npvr to xbmc in h264 transcoded?

no. NPVR operates with whatever format your broadcaster provides, which in the US is going to be MPEG-2. There are ways you can transcode recordings (not built-in, you roll your own scripts), but none of that will work for live tv. NEWA can do some on-the-fly transcoding, but I'm not sure if it can do so with livetv. You might also look into nDroid, which as the name implies is a native android client for npvr.

Using the X-NEWA addon for XBMC you can configure it use NEWA's VLC on the fily transcoding and it does work with live tv. The problem isn't just that XBMC for Android could be using software decoding, you also will have some restriction because of wifi.

My xbmc had full neon support and kills at all my 1080p content on my rock chip. I also have it over 100mbps network adapter.
