with the help of Fred250 (well he did 99% of the work, I just hacked it in a couple of places), Ive got the 2 sample files from stustunz and smacrae working with correct skipping Smile

More info can be found here

We need to clean up the code and either get sub to implement it into NextPVR for the next release or get it into NEWA (I don't want to have users install an additional windows application to get this client working, thats why I've been using the standard web service calls and asking sub to add more where they weren't available). However worst case scenario, I can release a windows service that you could install if we can't get it into NEWA or nextpvr.

this lets us to second accurate skips, which also helps with comskip support (this was low priority due to the fact my skips often were 10 seconds or so out).

this however probably wont work with live tv, however I've not really implemented timestreaming yet (this will likely be added in version 2 of the app, main focus is recordings and scheduling recordings + live untimeshifted tv).

would love to get you guys a tester to try out, but unfortunately ive changed too much in nextpvr for samsung that it wont work until you get the next version of nextpvr.

lots of the loading calls have changed to get the mini guide data and guide data to use new service calls sub has added for the next version.

I was confident it could be solved, just had to figure out how. The fact that Fred250s method worked for skipping and the timeline reported the correct time after skipping meant it should work, just a bug in the tsstreamer code that closed the stream early.

i suppose the skips are about .5 - 1 second depending on video (both the sample ones I have are about that speed), also depending on player (havent tried the 2012 BRP yet). those speeds are 2013 tv.

I've asked sub to see if he could get the fix into next version of nextpvr, havent heard back yet (hes probably busy with life stuff/next version of nextpvr, or sick of me asking for stuff Smile)
