NEWA Logon not working (to change) themes etc after 3.1.1

I use the classic NEWA guide http://smurfpc:8866/guide.aspx not the guide2 version.

I get to the guide, but when I go to logon, it now (after 311) just offers user name and pwd and goes no further?

Not following what problem you are having.... I understand you can get to the guide (guide.aspx) but not sure what login problem you are having. Can you provide some more details?

Sure UJB,

Basically,
1. from downstairs on the notebook (same network), I have an IE shortcut to http://smurfpc:8866/guide.aspx
2. Double clicking this link, this starts the NEW TVguide just fine.
3. I then decide to go to the config TAB to change the theme.
4. NEWA prompts for user login and pwd. I enter those and click login.
5. It stops right there. No Hang, just no action (to get into that config tab) at all??

I haven't been able to duplicate this issue... tried on a couple of machines. Have you tried removing and re-installing NEWA? perhaps there was an issue with the upgrade. I did update the instructions on the wiki the other day.

To close the loop:

An IE "upgrade" mysteriously left me without Java.

No Java, no Javascript.
No Javascript, no NEWA for Javascript-dependent operations.

Easy. Reverted to IE10.
