Will this tuner work for receiving and recording antenna channels?

I have it installed, at least to the point that MCE can see it, but next pvr does not see it. Nor can I get it to scan for channels, it seems to be searching for cable channels.

go into Settings->Devices and then post your NPVR.log. A screenshot of the devices screen might help as well.

Heres the log and a screenshots of my devices screen.

The current card it is showing is not in the PC at the moment, it was a single tuner that I was hoping to replace with the dual tuner if I can remove my head from my butt and figure this out. (Or more so it seems, have someone help me remove it from my butt. lol)

I think that's an analog tuner which won't do you any good for recording from an antenna. All broadcasts are digital now.

If you want to use it for analog cable, or to take a signal from a cable box on channel 3, for NPVR to see it you'd have to install SoftPVR http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...ugeSoftPVR

Well I guess on the bright side I didn't spend but 12$ on it. Hindsight is of course 20/20 lol. Misread the description when I bought it so that was my fault. Thank you for the help.

On a side note, any idea what would cause recordings to suddenly skip from one spot to the next in the show even though it played perfectly through the live tv feed?

Going to put the other card back in real quick so I can post logs with it in if need be.
