Emuzed Maui II S Support

Hey sub,

I'll post in a few minutes the filters that come up in graphedit. Lemme know if you can help a brutha out. Here's some prelim info before I repost.

Emuzed Maui II S has a LSI DVXplore Mpeg encoder. Encodes in MPEG-2 format with support for both VBR and CBR up to 15Mbs. Audio encoding is in MPEG-1 format.

You'll notice in the Capture filter that there isn't a CAPTURE pin... therein might lie the problem. Instead there are two pins for audio and video separately. Audio MUST go through another Emuzed filter before you can get rid of the static. Here goes....

Does the order matter?

I think it similar to a blackbird card (which also uses separate encoder), so you'd probably need to create the new direct.ini section based on one of the existing blackbird sections. Unfortunatly I dont have access to either a Emuzed Maui II or Blackbird so I cant really be sure.

Is there someone here than can post a similar graph for a Blackbird/Roslyn card, or can email a graph picture to me for posting? I need to compare pictures...

Order is not important, but if it is similar to the blackbird you'd probably need to include a line like:

BLACKBIRD=1

PIN_CAPTURE_I2S_OUT=I2S
PIN_CAPTURE_656_OUT=656

Are used for audio and video out on the capture filter. I cant remember which is which...

I tried those out in different combinations to no avail. None of my Emuzed filters have I2S pins. I'm pretty sure it's not a Blackbird design. This card was out before that and it doesn't have a Conexant encoder. It's of the LSI variety which AFAIK is pretty rare. Based off LSI Logic specs it seems to have some pretty strong features.. utilizing them is the sore spot...

I'm kinda desperate. I'm willing to send you my card if necessary. My other option is to load up VS myself and start coding but I'm not sure I want to re-invent your wheel

Hey it's been awhile, but thanks for the support sub.

I've been telling everyone about your pvr mainly based on the support you've been giving. You're doing a GREAT job! I'd pay this anyday.

BTW, I'm giving up on the Maui II. I'm picking up a Prolink Pixelview P7000 instead. Hopefully this should work better.
