I don't know why, but 3 months ago NEWA (and everything else) worked perfectly but now NEWA can't stream anymore (it can play and download, and live tv works too).

I tried to stream, vlc opens but stays black. The file stream.asx contains "http://192.168.2.1:443" (which is correct).
When I seperately open vlc and enter this to play this stream, nothing happens too. So it looks like nothing is streamed indeed.
One other strange thing, is that when I try to logout, I don't really get logged out.

Logs attached.

Wim

p.s. I tried nDroid and that doesn't stream too. Same problem?

something hoky going on.... I think it should be stream.vlc not .asx unless you are using windows media player. When opening the stream dialog....try changing player to wmp click update....then change back to vlc and click update.... now start the stream.

Let me know.

At first, I had setup vlc to stream and I got a stream.vlc . Because it didn't work, I changed the settings and this must have gone wrong. Didn't notice it, sorry.
Changed it, the way you wrote, and I now get stream.vlc again but still no stream.
Contents of the stream.vlc:
"#EXTM3U
http://192.168.2.1:443"

443 is the correct port, ip-adress is correct too. Don't know what the first line means. So vlc stays black, I think nothing is being streamed.

After you start the stream....on your server do you see a vlc process start and get cpu time?

If you do, then VLC is starting...... you should be able to connect to the stream in vlc by (in vlc) open network stream and use the ip: http://192.168.2.1:443

443 is the standard port for SSL (https://) connections.... not sure if that may be causing an issue or not.

I am looking at your log and am not seeing anything unusual yet.... I will have to compare to what I see in mine and see if I can spot a difference.

Also.... I see you are running x64... is VLC installed to \program files\ or \program files (x86)\ ? your config is pointing to he (x86) folder......

Ok... I found your vlc entries further down in the logs....

Is your NPVR service running under a local user account or system account?

Local system account. But I haven't changed that since the time it did function.

Ok... make sure the service is set to allow interaction with desktop.

Make sure you have a c:\temp folder defined.

in the config-web.xml file set this attribute to true: <debugVLC>True</debugVLC.

Lets see if anything comes out in the log.
