invalid pin issue

I am trying to setup nextpvr on a windows 7 machine with XBMC installed. I keep getting the connection failed invalid pin error. I tried to install the patch I found on this forum. It hasn't worked so far. Yes I changed the pin. Seems like the worst mistake ever. Firewall is turned off. I have also tried to connect to the computer with cell phone that has XBMC on it. Same error. How do I trouble shoot the authentication process further?

Apply (as a minimum) patch #10 http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post464832 change the pin and then change it to what you want to use.

That was the same patch I have already tried with out any luck. Am suppose to change pin to default 0000. then change it to what ever I want. stopping and starting the services in-between each change?

You can change it to anything you like, but you obviously have to change it in the XBMC configuration too. You shouldn't have to restart the recording service, but probably best to just in case I'm wrong.

If you cant get it to go, post the web.log and let me know what it was supposed to be set to, and I'll take a look.

I am changing it in XBMC each time also. I really do not care what the pin is set to. I work in IT, so the "do not leave default passwords" really got me on this one. when I first set it up I changed it to 1234. I have since changed it back to 0000. here is a couple entries in the log:

not sure if this is a related problem, but when I try and do a live stream in IE I get a blank page.

I'm not sure you applied the patch correctly maybe you forgot about UAC. Edit config.xml to the default

and reset XBMC to 0000

Streaming live via IE is a terrible test.

UAC is turned off on this computer. Edited the config.xml and reset XBMC back to default. Still no luck. Restarted and tested again. No luck. here is web logs:

Cant edit your config.xml to set the pin back to: <PinMD5>4A7D1ED414474E4033AC29CCB8653D9B</PinMD5> (Martin supplied the wrong value above)

Then set XBMC to 0000, and post the log again?
