I have gotten ATSC captions to work by extracting them from .ts files using ccextractor and putting the .srt file in the same folder as the .ts file. Three questions...

1) When playing a recording, the SRT Subtitle option only appears if the .srt file is in the same folder as the .ts file. Is there a way to tell Npvr to look in another folder for the .srt file?

2) Is there a way to default to srt captions enabled if the srt file is present?

3) Is there a way to change the font of the captions?

Thanks,
Tom

Unfortunately it's "no" on all of those at the moment. I can provide you with a patch for these three items, but unfortunately its bad timing with me out of the country for the next two weeks. I can do it after that though.

You can have npvr use the .srt file if it is named <recording>.default.srt

Npvr is using the .srt file (if in same folder as the .ts file) when it is named<recording>.srt. If I name it <recording>.default.srt what does that accomplish?

Sub,

That would be great if you could add these capabilities in the future. Initial implementation just using config file (not in the GUI) would be OK. My reason for changing the font is to make the captions smaller and less intrusive.

That means that npvr plays the subtitles with the recording wiyhout having to turn on subtitles.
