This New feature was working - press record button during live TV and the TV Buffer is saved along with the rest of the program.
Since installing all the latest patches, (I think - will check tonight) when pressing the record button, the buffer continues to grow, but when you try to view it all there is a black screen with no sound. (I think the start time on the timeline was a very large minus number)

Anyone else having this problem?

Hopefully I can do more testing tomorrow morning - work got in the way today - and get some logs.

You need to run Martins WriteTime on the recording when that occurs.

The EPG mode recordings already have timing.info.

This is working for me, except for the annoyance that a multi-rec live tv session continues on digital channels and if you miss the brief OSD message you end up doing it again. Much nicer that analog signals stop live tv.

Logs attached
Sequence of events:
06.12.40 Start live TV (BBC1HD)
06.16.59 Start Record
06.19.49 Exit Live TV
06.19.56-58 Trying to play from Recordings

For some reason NPVR is not building a proper graph for these recorded live buffers - quick test with vlc and they play perfectly although MPC-HC couldn't play them smoothly (and was showing closed captions)
Timeline was OK so that was a Red Herring.

Installed the Rollup Patch all files were the same date - so I had installed them all individually.

Next thing to try is start rolling back the patches to find the culprit I guess.

The playback graph for the in-progress recording is definitely not looking good. Can you watch in-progress recordings that are "normal" recordings not started with Ctrl-K ?

Thanks Martin - I think I will first uninstall LM Remote (that Ctrl-K was just a push on the record button on the MCE remote) before trying anything else.

From your logs , it seems to do what it is supposed to, that is simply flag the current show as don't stop recording or delete when you stop viewing live tv and start parallel processing.

Just done a bit more testing.
Once you press Record you can continue to watch the channel - but if you leave the channel while it is still recording, and then later go back to it, either from the epg or the recordings screen, all you get is a blank screen. (Which is not what happens with a normal recording) However once the recording has stopped (cancelled or finishes) the recording is then viewable.

Is this the expected behavior? I had thought it worked like a normal recording - maybe I was wrong.

So you confirmed you could watch a normal recording while it was in progress? If so maybe post the logs.
