Hi. I tried to add all the extra channels that we have in the UK apart from the normal 5. I tried to add BBC3 and 4 and ITV 2 and 3. I like to use XMLTV Radio Times becuase it gives about 14 days listing. Trouble is when I do I get Object reference not set message. I can go into Manual record and step through the channels and then go back into EPG and I get in without an error. However all the extra channels that I have added are blank and repeated. Is there a way round this? Do I need to flush the database? I tried empty EPG and that did not do it. Also I tried the Bleg TV and it just stuffed up my EPG becuase I got a mix of XMLTV and bleg Help!!!!!!!!!

Urrm - is your sig. missing something? I can't see any mention of a DVB capture card. Or do you have an external box of some sort?

As far as I know once a channel is in the database, it never gets deleted. The Empty EPG button and the -EmptyEPG command-line switch only delete the programme information and not the channel placeholders in the database.

If you don't mind losing the information in the Ready recordings section, deleting your capture sources and starting from scratch would fix it (you can still obviously view the old recordings in Video Library). It's a real pain though so I expect you don't want to do that.

I can think of two other ways to do it but you'd need Microsoft Access and have to edit the mdb file by hand. If you want to try this let me know and I'll list the procedure I've used in the past.

Thanks for coming back to me. Sorry I dont mess with databases as I am a Solaris admin. I leave that kind of things to DBA's. I have tried doing the other thing allready. In fact I tried a new install. Keeping my config and db safe. It still does it with the new install.
